3. Mac and cheese lunch

This is one of the healthy lunch ideas. It is great because instead of using fatty lunch meat, we will use another lunch kind that kids love - pasta. Mix macaroni with grated cheese and put it in a thermos. You can also add some veggies like chopped tomato or peas (or both) to make your child''s plate more varied. If this lunch idea is not enough for your child, try adding a fruit salad second course or cutting carrot, pepper, or cucumber sticks as a side dish.

If you are running out of lunch ideas but want a healthy lunch for school kids, try quesadillas. They are delicious, easy to make, and don''t require many ingredients. Take one flour tortilla, spread butter or low-fat cream cheese on it, place another tortilla on top, and put the veggies of your choice (chopped tomato, onion, green pepper) in between. 

Finally, just fold it like an envelope and cut it into four pieces with a big sharp knife. Put quesadillas in a lunchbox with some salsa. Make sure you keep lunch cool by putting the lunch box in a lunch bag with ice packs.

French fries can never be healthy! A general opinion Right? Well all know fast food like French fries are not suitable for a healthy lunch for school kids, but what about baked fries, not fried? This is one of the healthy lunch ideas that is very easy to make; boil new potatoes until soft, then cut into thin slices. Each potato will give about 12-15 pieces. Mix grated parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano. Spread a thin layer of olive oil over a baking tray and lay the potatoes on it in a single layer leaving at least 1/2 inch gap between each slice. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

6. Chicken roast wrap with hummus

Coat chicken breast pieces with sesame oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, grated ginger, garlic paste, chopped cilantro leaves. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Warm-up tortilla wrap, add shredded lettuce leaves, hummus, spread ¼ of cooked chicken on it, and roll tightly like a wrap. This is among the easy healthy lunch ideas to add to your list. 

7. Apple and peanut butter smoothie

Fill 2 lunch boxes with one apple, 1 small banana, 3 boiled eggs, 1 cup whole-grain cereal, a handful of almonds, peanut butter sauce - take a bowl add honey or maple syrup to it then slowly stir in cold-pressed virgin olive oil until emulsified. Dump the entire contents of the dressing into the blender jar along with garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend well until smooth. Refrigerate for future use or use immediately if not chilled. In the lunch box, take a mini container, pour the mixture, and put it inside the lunch box. And yet your other easy and healthy lunch ideas.

8. Egg Pita sandwich

Heat skillet at medium heat; spray some oil on both sides of pita bread. Put egg whites inside pita bread and top with shredded cheese. Close both sides of the pita bread together. Put the sandwich in the skillet, cook until hot, then flip to cook another side as well until golden brown.
